CHARLOTTE, NC (Jan. 2, 2019) – The Board of Directors of the Carolinas Asian-American Chamber of Commerce (CAACC) recently announced the appointment of Ann Gonzales as the Chamber’s new President, effective January 1, 2019.
Gonzales brings to CAACC an ability to understand the aspirations and challenges that Asian and minority-owned businesses and professionals face, with the experience and motivation necessary to lead a 501(c)6 organization.
Gonzales’ motivation to advocate for minority-owned businesses and entrepreneurs stems from her own experience as a self-made entrepreneur. In 2011, Gonzales co-founded Create-ster, a creative marketing agency that specializes in working with start-up companies and nonprofits. In 2016, Create-ster became the first nationally certified LGBT and Asian minority-owned business in Charlotte, North Carolina.
“I am honored for the opportunity to build upon the progress that the Carolinas Asian-American Chamber of Commerce has made and I am excited to lead it into its next chapter, ” said Gonzales.
